A typical work train heading back to Ryan from the area of the Grand View Mine, passes over the longest trestle on the Baby Gauge. In the background is another of the trestles constructed to haul the ore back to Ryan.
In the original shot, the trestle had not yet been partially filled in. All of the embankment seen was/is timbered supports.
Before abandonment of the Baby Gauge, plans were underway to construct a water diverter along the wash to protect the fill and trestle. The work stands just as left, along with stack of ties, rails and other lumber.
