| Description: | In the late spring of 1938 the area suffered a "100 year" flood. The UP diverted the course of the Mojave into Cronese valley to the West. One result was a lowering of the water table putting the Rasor region into a prolonged drought. When this picture was taken, the water table was some 6-8 feet below the surface. Today it is more like twice that. [H. R.] |
